PICKLE CAST FOR IPHONE AND IPAD
Getting started
Open the app, tap Continue, name your two teams, and pick a game to 11 or 15. You can play without an account. There is nothing to sign up for in the app today.
Keeping score
Tap Won rally for the team that took the point. The scoreboard, the serving indicator, and the 3D court update together. Use Undo if you tap the wrong team. Your match is saved on the device as you go, so closing the app does not lose it.
Using phones as court cameras
On the phone you want as a camera, open Pickle Cast, choose Camera, and turn on Discoverable. On the iPad, open the Camera tab and it will find nearby phones. Both devices need camera and local network permission, which iOS asks for the first time. They connect directly over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so no internet or router is needed. If a phone does not show up, toggle Discoverable off and on, and make sure both devices have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on.
Replays and the 3D court
The Review tab lets you scrub back through a point and follow the ball trace. The current version ships with sample replay data so you can try it before the camera pods arrive. The Court tab renders the rally live as you score.
Sound
Score calls play through the device speaker. Silence them with the speaker button on the court screen, or by using the ring switch on your device.
The camera pod
The camera pod is not shipping yet. Join the list and we will email you the moment it is ready to order. Until then, phones do the job.
Deleting your data
The app keeps everything on your device, so deleting the app deletes your matches and settings. If you joined the launch list on this site and want your name and email removed, email us and we will do it promptly.
